Showcasing the magnificence of the Namadgi National Park and surrounds through stories from walking the many tracks.
Despite what most Australians think of Canberra, the fact is that most do not know about, or fully appreciate, the ACT's magnificent national park and mountainous sub-alpine and alpine areas.
'The Walk ACT' is a collection of walks aimed at sharing the experiences through detailed walk descriptions and photos of the spectacular views on offer.
The website is dedicated to providing enough detail to hopefully encourage others to venture out and explore our wonderful and unique native landscape. The articles are not just about walks in Namadgi, but also cover the walks throughout Australia and overseas.
If you'd like to be kept up-to-date with the latest walking articles or news, please subscribe to the website or even better, become a member and share your stories on our members forum.
I hope to see you on one of my walks.

Sick of paying big bucks for sub-standard equipment? Want to know about the good gear that doesn't necessarily cost you a fortune? Want to read about people practically using gear?
Well, so do I! I've toyed with this idea for a while and decided to kick it off and hopefully engage some other keen walkers to give me hand. Well use gear and rate it for you, hopefully taking the guess work out of your future purchases!
