Documentary - Finding the Namadgi Trail

We started three years ago...and could never foresee what was to come. Drought, heat and constant cancelling of shoots. Add the park closures and then of course the fires and COVID to top it all off!

But, we're finally back and recently filmed the first of several historical re-enactments. This segment recreating the events surrounding the death of Elizabeth Shiels in 1922. The rain was so bad that the Westermans were completely cut off by flooding creeks. Unable to get his daughters body to Adaminaby for burial, Thomas Westerman was forced to manufacture a coffin using ceiling boards from inside the homestead, and bury his daughter nearby.

Thanks to our fantastic actors and all the crew and support crew. Not possible without you.

June 2021release date.
